About Us
The Aafiyah Project is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization established to address health disparities experienced by Blacks/African American minorities in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
VISION
To achieve health equity and scholastic excellence among Black/African American minority and underserved groups in Prince George's County and beyond.
MISSION
To embark on a holistic approach to “well-being” through health promotion and scholastic achievement for the minority and underserved population in the Washington DC metro area.
CORE VALUE
These include universally shared values : Community, Service, and Ethical Conduct.
Our health programs include mental health, maternal & child health, and community engagement in healthy lifestyle activities. Our scholastic programs serve the underserved and socially disadvantaged students by virtue of our out-of-school clubs, summer camps, and STEM enrichment.
This promotion of “well-being” will be carried out through health-promoting activities, innovative mentoring, education, and governance that reflect Islamic values and principles.
