The Aafiyah Junior STARs are a vibrant set of 7 - 9 year old Students Taking Action & Responsibility. These group of 2nd to 4th grade students are beginning to make their mark with much independence and confidence in all aspects of their lives. The goal of the Junior STARs Club is to help students begin to understand the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle that spans across their physical, mental, and social wellbeing.

In the 2022-23 school year, the Junior STARs club members will delve into the following areas:

1) Reading literacy utilizing Wishtree by Katherine Applegate

2) Social emotional learning guided by Big Life Journal for Kids

3) STEM Enrichment (Oct. - Dec. 2022; in partnership with SciTech2U)

***

4) Fun activities (e.g., game night, book club, virtual cooking class)
